THE EXPERIENCE

Give guests and visitors a story they can wear.

Jinbaori was once worn by samurai warlords over their armour. SamuraiWorld brings that visual language into a garment that guests, visitors and participants can wear over ordinary clothing in seconds.

Each piece is made to order in Japan using Japanese kinran brocade. It becomes a reusable cultural asset for guest experiences, exhibitions, dining programs, VIP hospitality and corporate events — not a costume rental or a printed imitation.

A guest puts it on. Cameras come out. Conversation begins — and your organization becomes part of the memory.

About the Founder

Masaru Miyake

Founder of SamuraiWorld / Researcher of Samurai and Warrior Culture

Masaru Miyake’s journey began with a deep fascination for the samurai, Japan’s Sengoku period, and the lives of the warlords who shaped that era.

For more than twenty years, he has visited over 1,000 castle sites and surviving castle structures across Japan, studying the places where samurai and warlords fought, lived, and built their power through field measurement and close observation of the landscape.

He examines the surviving traces of earthen embankments, moats, gates, stone walls, and terrain, produces detailed nawabari plans, and studies the structure of castles, the intentions behind their construction, and the strategies and systems of power expressed through them. In recent years, he has also taken part in the preservation and maintenance of historic castle sites.

Miyake has contributed as an author or co-author to twelve books on Japanese castles, including the seven-volume Haijō o Yuku series, Haijō o Yuku: Best 100 Castles, Complete Guide to Mountain Castles, and volumes III to V of Illustrated Castles of the Kinki Region.

SamuraiWorld was created to bring the historical culture of samurai, warlords, castles, and armour into forms that people can see, touch, wear, and experience today.

The Jinbaori created by SamuraiWorld revives the colour, splendour, and presence once expressed by samurai and warlords on the battlefield and in ceremonial settings. It is the culmination of a lifelong pursuit of samurai and warrior culture, brought into a form that can be worn today.
